What's On Your Heart?

What's on my heart? The word heavy weighs in repeatedly. Heavy like three sacks of potatoes. Heavy with emotion. Heavy heart. Heavy eyes. Somewhat heavy body =).

I love my children. When I lose sleep, I have trouble showing that love. I have trouble being the person I wanted to always be.
A mother.
A mother like my mother.
A mother with endless patience, endless love, endless fun.

Sometimes I have to be the fun-ending type of mother. Where would my boys be if I wasn't? I think Oliver would choose to be Curious George if he could.  Calvin would be that fiery red head that surprises at any given moment. I would be shunned from society for producing unruly kids.
1p2p3cp4cp5p6p7p8cp My heart is heavy with love, for my love. Like how patient he is with my fits, my weakness, my troubles. I really am in love with him. I feel so humbled when I am "out" in the [sometimes virtual] world. I need to be more grateful for him in my actions. Surely, my redundant compliments on this little piece of blogosphere is not enough.

So tomorrow I will start [well technically today since I am writing this in the wee hours of the night]. Tomorrow will be the perfect beginning to the me I always wanted to be.
My heart is not so heavy. I think I will go thank the Lord and turn in.
Happy blogging readers!

Music Muse Tues

So this past week, I was able to listen to my beloved Pandora station and find some amazing songs. I thought I would share ALL of them via Spotify. Check them out. I also created a playlist so you can subscribe too! Have fun. Let me know what you think.

Sometimes & Always #2

Sometimes: I go here and spend a few hours watching these motivating videos and shedding some tears.
Always: I share at least one on my blog. =)
Sometimes: I look at my new niece and want another one of my own.
Always: I think that I definitely need to wait a little bit longer.
Sometimes: I have dreams at night of becoming like Carrie Underwood, singing music all day, fine-tuning my instrument.
Always: I wake up and smile to myself.
Sometimes: I look at all of the things we have and think we need to get rid of it and start from scratch.
Always: I go on a clearing out spree throwing/giving away what we don't use any longer.

My 1st Snake!

Our videos this week revolve around Oliver. My love caught a Florida Brown Snake for him a few weeks back. He loved it, so much that it was pretty lifeless when we let it go. Poor thing. Oliver also was heartbroken over watching his first snake slither away. He threw a fit for over an hour. These videos are from the happy moments though.

Friday's Letters

Dear Friday, How did you get here so fast? I can't believe this week is almost gone.
Dear lovebugs, Thanks for listening to my letter and sleeping this week.
Dear IKEA, Did you enjoy the raise in sales this week? It was well deserved minus the annoying construction you had going on, but nonetheless well deserved.
Dear Abby, YOU ARE GRADUATING TOMORROW!! AHHHH!!! I am so proud of you, little sis. I can't believe it has been four years since I saw you every day at school as a Freshman. Man, enjoy every minute of college. Time sure does fly by after that.
Dear Lover, Thanks for spending hours fixing the sliding glass door. You are so hot when you do things I would never have the patience for.
Dear Bloggers, where are your letters? I want to read them. Comment below so I can link up with you!

Sometimes and Always #1

Sometimes & Always is a link up party and an easy way to reveal even more about myself. I hope to keep this up weekly. Enjoy and Link up!!

Sometimes: I realize I have missed some super fun and important stuff from months prior.
Always: I blog about it months later and pretend it just happened.

Sometimes: My love  is complimented in public about how he is a gentleman.
Always: He is a gentleman, for the most part =)

Sometimes: I just want to run to the corner DQ to devour a delicious chocolate cone.
Always: I think about the pounds I would put on if I followed that instinct every time and wait for someone else to suggest it.

Sometimes: I miss my brother and sis-in-law and neice and nephew.
Always: I stalk them here and here, which helps... a little.

Sometimes: I hear my boys laughing in the other room with daddy.
Always: I leave this computer to go play.

Dana Glover - Thinking Over

If there is one thing I do, it is think. I think things over and over. I had a moment to think as I drove home from dinner the other night. I used my somewhat inactive Pandora account on my phone to jam to some music and this song came on. Where have I been? I do not know much about Dana Glover, but I know I love this song. Think it over =) Happy Music Muse Tues!!

Slip and Slide

If there is one thing I remember about the hot summers in Florida, it is the Slip and Slide! It is not summer in Florida without it. Jason brought one home last week and couldn't wait for the boys to try it out. I love that my love, loves to make the lovebugs so happy. He really is an amazing father. Oliver learned how to slide, Calvin learned how to slip and we all shared a good laugh. Hope you enjoy the test runs!

Friday's Letters

1nDear Blog, Today I will begin Friday's letters. I know that it seems I am using these weekly posts to keep you updated, but I am not really. I love adding new aspects to make you more diverse and entertaining.
Dear little lovebugs, I am worn out. Parenting is difficult. I never want to make it seem difficult because my parents never did. Maybe it is still new to me. Just try to sleep through the night tonight please. I love your sweet little faces.
Dear local organic berry farm, I love you. My kids love you. Thank you for existing.
Dear sister, please come back to blogging before your little bundle of joy comes along.
Dear niece, please come soon. I can't wait to hold a piece of heaven!
Dear lover, I know I have been moody this week and you don't deserve it. I really have trouble avoiding my grumpface when I lose any sleep. Next week, I will avoid being grumpy at all costs to make it up to you.

PhotobucketDear inspiring bloggers! I want to be just like you.

Boyce Avenue

I haven't posted anything about my boys at Boyce Avenue. They have been pumping out videos weekly and I miss them. I caught up tonight though. Here is one of their latest! Check it out! They are always a favorite. It's funny when I hear an original artist sing a song that I know from Boyce Avenue. What an influence they've had on me. What do you think?

Heather Headley

Heather Headley- Somewhere Over the Rainbow from Amz Epp on Vimeo.

If you don't mind a shaky video and poor sound quality, watch this. I had a moment to myself today while the boys were "resting" and was overcome by the talent exemplified by this amazing artist, Heather Headley. I wrote about this night a few months ago HERE. I was honored to be a member of the audience! She is starring in the cast of the new Broadway Show, The Bodyguard. We love you Heather!!!

Priscilla Ahn

Okay, okay... so Week 2 of Music Muse Tues isn't going so well since I decided to climb into bed early instead of surfing endless pages of this thing. I found someone new. Watch this calming video below. My little sister posted this so I thought I would steal it. Check it out!
